The American University - Central Asia (AUCA), located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, offers young adults the chance to earn an American four-year college diploma. Most importantly, AUCA teaches only in English and using Western methods and values-secular, scientific, creative, and meritocratic. In the spirit of one who changed a nation with his commitment to a more just community, we named our scholarship after the great Dr. King.
The Foundation is strict in its choice of scholar and institution of scholarship. Not only do we seek those with excellent academic credentials, outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, and a variety of interests, we also look for those who have shown a dedication to self-improvement, critical thinking, creativity, and above all, community engagement.
