Our scholarship program makes a positive and lasting difference in the lives of hardworking and dedicated Turkmen students. In their own words two of our scholarship recipients describe what this opportunity means to them:

The Honor Spingarn / Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship provides full funding for student from Turkmenistan to attend a four-year liberal arts university. This scholarship also supports recipients to attend a preparatory year of schooling before they begin university classes if it is determined the student needs this support to succeed academically. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated a thirst for knowledge, leadership potential and a commitment to community service.
