The Turkmen Mentors Program (TMP) matches Turkmen high school students with college graduates for a one year mentoring program. TMP is designed to provide motivated Turkmen students with the support and resources they need to successfully be admitted into college. Students enrolled in the TMP receive funding for TOEFL and SAT tests as well as test prep materials. Mentors and their students work through the 12 month TMP Curriculum which guides students through topics including goal setting, college essay writing, college selection, financial planning and more.

Mentors and students communicate via Skype, email and phone. Mentors receive ongoing support and guidance from our dedicated TMP Program Managers, both of whom are Returned Peace Corps Volunteers from Turkmenistan. Students are selected for the TMP on a competitive basis and applications are made available on our website once a year in December. Mentor applications are also made available in early December. Contact the TMP Program Managers at TMP@tycvf.org for more information.
